Custom Inlay on Acoustic Top

More of an art project than a repair, this piece took over 40hrs to get just right. Inlay material is sand and resin.

Fretless Conversion

This 4-string Squire was converted to a fretless. Frets were removed and then filled in with sawdust and CA glue. Fretboard was sanded smooth without change to radius and oil rub finish was restored.

Restoration Project:

Antique (Est. 95 years old) Sovereign Classical Guitar restoration.

This was an extensive restoration project that required the complete removal of the fretboard to properly reshape and restore the extensive top warping, re-glueing of several braces, Neck pocket adjustment, full re-fret, setup, and binding repairs.

Neck Re-glue

Gibson ES137 came in with a separated neck after a fall. Neck was glued back in place with no change to playability

Unfortunately I was a little too excited to get started on this one, and forgot to take the before picture! The cutaway was damaged by an object falling on the guitar, leaving an approx. 1in hole in the top of the horn. The fragmented pieces around the impact site were manipulated back into place to close the opening leaving only this small scar

Instrument had a split and lifted bridge. Bridge was repaired, re-glued in place and setup.

Custom Resin Inlay + Refret

Custom inlay using resin/sand. This method is also possible without refret depending on desired results.

Headstock Repair and Restoration

The final after photo has been lost. Restoration included hand-cutting replacement pearloid for missing headstock inlays, and partial fret replacement.
